What is the Property Tax Rate for Las Vegas, Nevada?
You can expect to see property taxes calculated at about .5% to .75% of the home’s purchase price.
In Nevada, the market value of your property determines property tax amounts. Once every 5 years, your home is required to be re-appraised by County Assessors.
In regards to annual increases, there is a property tax abatement law that caps the annual increase on primary residences to 3% max. This applies even if the home’s value increases by more than 3%

What is the 3% Cap in Nevada?
This is a cap to provide property tax relief to residents of Nevada that own a home and use it as their primary residence. Whether your home has increased in value by over 3% or not, your property taxes cannot increase by more than 3% annually so long as it is your primary residence.
You can only claim one property as your primary residence with the 3% tax cap applied.
